State Funding and Federal Programs
With the recent passing of the “One Big Beautiful Bill”, nearly $200 billion in SNAP benefits will be cut at a time when our neighbors need help the most. With fewer benefits, our community members will seek out their local pantry to get the food they need. Food Bank of the Albemarle and our partner network will not be able to meet the gap in meals due to this extreme change in our neighbor’s SNAP benefits.
